Maria Reyes Casas

Maria Reyes Casas, born January 6, 1934, went to be with the Lord on July 30th, 2016 in Baytown, TX at the tender age of 82 with family and loved ones by her side. Born in San Luis Potosi, Maria came to Baytown at the age of 18 where she eventually met her late husband Leopoldo Casas. She had a passion for cooking and singing along with mariachis. Enjoying many of her married days in San Benito, TX, Maria loved spending time with family, exchanging laughs and sharing memories. She had a strong passion for animals, and she was always very loving to those in need.

She was preceded in death by husband, Leopoldo Casas; parents, Fidel Coronado and Felicitas Lopez; siblings, Severa Coronado, Yismael Coronado, and Maria Guadalupe Coronado; and nieces and nephews, Amelia Canizales and husband Francisco Canizales, Rosanna Peña, and Antonio Coronado.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Natalia Martinez Coronado; nieces and nephews, Rosario Rodriguez and husband Arturo Vega, Feliciana Fabela and husband Jesus Fabela, Yismael Coronado Jr. and wife Delynn Coronado, Mario Coronado and wife Tonya Coronado, Hortencia Ayala and husband Francisco Ayala, Francisco Hernandez, Sandra Berka, Gavino Hernandez, Cristobal Gonzales, Adelita Arguelles and husband Juan Arguelles, and Orlando Gonzales.

Serving as pallbearers are Jorge Fabela, Orlando Gonzales, Francisco Hernandez, Jorge Macias Jr., Eduardo Ramirez, and Juan Ramirez.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4th, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St., Baytown, TX, with burial following at Earthman Memory Gardens in Baytown, TX.
