Marie Petty

Marie Petty, 78, of Baytown, TX, formerly Kenefick, was born August 30, 1930 in Nacogdoches and passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 in a local hospital. She retired from Equifax and was a member of the Kenefick Activity Club, Alzheimer's Support Group and the Baptist faith. She was a very caring and loving person and a great mother, grandmother and sister and was the most non judgmental person you could ever meet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Minnie Emmons; brother, Vernis Emmons; and granddaughter, Mandy Hendricks. She is survived by her husband, Elvin Petty; daughter, Teri Dismukes; son, Kenneth Hendricks; brother, Charles Eugene Emmons; sisters, Bernice Carroll and Mattie Lou Oates; grandchildren, Cristin Huber and Clay Dismukes; and great granddaughter, Carmen Huber.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Day officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Walker Cemetery in Redland in Angelina County with Rev. Ty Phillips officiating.
