Mary Ofelia ""KiKi Garcia

Our loving mother and grandmother, Mary Ofelia ""KiKi"" Garcia peacefully passed away at her son's home on January 4, 2009. She was blessed with having all her children at her bedside when our Lord called upon her to join him. She was born on March 22, 1927 in Baytown, Texas. The mother of eight was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She will be surely missed and never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Conrado Flores Garcia, parents Marcos and Reyes Martinez; brothers, Antonio, Julio, Joe, Geronimo and Gilbert Martinez; sisters, Louisa Martinez, Juventina Pina, Carmen Contreras and Annie Aguilar.

She is survived by her sons, Conrad Garcia Jr., Graciano Garcia, Florentino Garcia and wife Brenda, Richard Garcia and wife Cynthia, Louis Garcia and Reynaldo Garcia and wife Kim; daughters, Alicia Arredondo and Patricia Castaneda and husband Robert. All children reside in Baytown. She is also survived by her brother, Robert O. Martinez and wife Margie; sisters-in-law, Estella G. Martinez of Baytown and Alice Martinez of Solomon, AZ; brother-in-law, Miguel Contreras, Jr. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, David Garcia and wife Adriane, Stephanie Garcia and fiancé Charlie Moores, Tracy Galindo and husband Larry, Shannon Hall, Mia Carey and husband Judd, Jennifer Garcia and fiancé Tyler Schultz, Kathryn Cobb and husband John, Karyn Arredondo, Timothy Garcia, Keli Garcia, Kristie Silva and husband Joe, Roxanne McFarland and husband Raymond, Sherie Perez and husband David, Garey Salinas, Gabriel Salinas, Robert Castaneda Jr., Mark Castaneda, and Megan Garcia. Mary is also survived by her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Brendan, Marley, Izabella, Wylan, Brelan, Madison, Matthew, Aryana, Aerick, Adrian, Josiah, Lacey, Kaley, Lori, Makayla, and Marina. And numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

The family graciously thanks all our family and friends who provided their love, support and companionship during our mother's preparation for her journey to join our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Navarre Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Whites Cemetery. Honoring their mother and grandmother as pallbearers will be Reynaldo Garcia, Richard Garcia, Louis Garcia, David Garcia, Garey Salinas, Gabriel Salinas, Timothy Garcia and Shannon Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Conrad Garcia Jr., Graciano Garcia, Florentino Garcia, Robert Castaneda, Robert Castaneda Jr., Mark Castaneda and Robert J. Martinez.
