Mary Jane Taylor

Mary Jane Taylor, 60, of Baytown, TX was born January 1, 1945 in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of Raymond Horry Sr. and Bertha Gowan Tapley, and passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 in a Houston hospital after a lengthy illness.

Her family received friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. John Nelson and Rev. James Coots officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Guidry, Tim Land, Dennis Salo, Kurt Bennett, Chance Bennett, and John Bennett. Challenge Floyd will be an honorary pallbearer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathryn Juanita Tapley; and brothers, Raymond Horry Tapley, Jr. and Bobby Hue Tapley. She is survived by her husband, Roland D. Taylor of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric Bennett of Mont Belvieu, Kurt and Wendy Bennett of Kemah, John and Michelle Bennett of Baytown, and Chance and Monica Bennett of Highlands; stepson and wife, David and Angie Taylor of Daisetta; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Franklin Hudson of Jackson, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jack Lyles of Onalaska, Becky Strahan of Sulphur, LA, Jesse W. and Sara Taylor of Hardin, and Gloria Tapley of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Avery, Colby, Kyndle, and Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
