

Melba B. Moody, 78, of Baytown was born November 4, 1929 in Pelly, Tx and passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008. She loved arranging flowers, loved John Wayne Movies and activities with her family and friends, and was of the Baptist faith. Melba was preceded in death by her Loving husband James M. Moody Sr.; parents Joseph Larkin Sims and Laura Josephine Frazer Robbins; brothers, Jakie Iverson Sims, and Larkin Sims; sisters, Emma Donavan and Esther Musselwhite; sons-in-law, Tommy Gore and Billy Waller. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James M. Jr. and Colleen, Micheal (Bubba) A. Moody and Deborah, Charles Barry Moody and Pam all of Baytown; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Gore, Melba Waller and Donna Boullion and husband Gil of Baytown; 30 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Peggy Mc Ginty and Ella Merrill.
Pallbearers will be Clint Gore, Kirk Gore, Jammie Moody, Shane Moody, Cody Okeefe, and D.J. Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Craig, Sam Helm, Chris Harvey, Justin Burns, Jeremy and Jared Boullion, and Chino Horta.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday May 9, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday May 8, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Signature Health Care for their wonderful care and kindness during Melbas' illness, Dr. Robert Johnson and staff, and emergency room nurse Angel.
