She was born October 5, 1911 in Temple, TX to the late Joe and Annie Hurta. She was a member of Crosby Brethren Church. Milady was a very generous person who enjoyed cooking.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Stepan; brother, Johnny Lewis Hurta; sisters, Albina Motl, Julia Cline, and Adella Brannan; and son-in-law, Sonny McCray. She is survived by her daughter, Billy Marcel McCray of Baytown; sister-in-law, Edna Krupka of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Johnny Brannan of Temple; and close family friends, Mike Blackburn of Houston and Jay Blackburn of Dallas.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Larry Koslovsky officiating.
