

Monroe Gentry, 59, of Baytown was born in Madisonville, KY and passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 at his home. He was a wonderful father, husband, and son and was the longest surviving kidney recipient.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Catherine Gentry and son, Matthew Gentry. He is survived by his wife, Jimetta Gentry and sons and daughters-in-law, Trevor and Melanie Gentry and Dustin Gentry, all of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Rick Deeter and Kascey and Craig Epps, all of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Mildred Clayton of Providence, KY, Margaret Todd and Fay Alexander both of Madisonville, KY, Gay White of Crofton, KY, Evelyn Graham of Marion, IL, Vicky Crowley of Slaughters, KY, Louise Rickard of Adairsville, GA, and Debbie Carroll of Burlington, KY; brothers, Joe Gentry of Lexington, KY, Ray Gentry of La Porte, Douglas Gentry of Owensboro, KY, Terry Gentry of Telford, PA, and Sam Gentry and Lonnie Gentry, both of Owensboro, KY, and grandchildren, Savanna, Kode, Nickolas, Conner, Cyler, and Noah.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Hughes officiating. At his request, he will be cremated afterwards.
