Nancy was born on August 31, 1940 to her parents John Huffaker Wilson and Edith Elaine Alder Wilson in Bonham, Texas.
She graduated from La Porte High School in 1958. She married the love of her life Johnnie on August 30th of that year.
Nancy loved life and was a great mother, sister, aunt, friend and one who would help people in need. She cared for her family deeply and liked spending time with her lifelong friends Betty Thompson, Juanita Fontenot, Billie Broussard and Sandy Rushing. She loved animals, sunflowers and to laugh. She also loved going to the casino and playing HER machine. She loved holding court at the Dairy Queen with her friend Mary Frazier.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnnie Campbell, brother John Meredith Wilson and son Scott Campbell.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Kim Campbell of Baytown; grandson Cameron, his wife Sulia and great grandchildren Emali, Caelin and Erynn Campbell of Baytown; granddaughter Katie, her husband Jack and great grandson Jonathan Buras of La Porte; sister-in-law Dodie Wilson of College Station; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Jerry Matheson, Brad Burton, Mark Swint, Cameron Campbell, Ipeni Ohuafi and Jack Buras. Honorary pallbearer Andrew Wilson of Clear Lake.
Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Earthman’s Funeral Home in Baytown. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Earthman’s Memory Gardens at 12:30 p.m.
