Our beloved Aunt, Patsy Yvonne Schrock Lambright, gained her angel wings Monday, June 12 while a resident at Rollingbrook Rehabiliation/Nursing Home where she shared a room with and cared for her beloved husband, Clifton (Pete) Lambright. Patsy was born February 20, 1935 in Goose Creek, TX to parents, William Roby Schrock and Mary Naomi Harrington Schrock. She was their youngest child and was pre-deceased by her loving parents and all siblings, brothers Cleveland, Elmer, William Roby Jr, Myron and Kenneth Schrock; by her sisters Gertrude, Little Mayrene Schrock and Dorothy Schrock Hanks. Also preceding her in death were nephews Ricky Hanks, Mark Hanks and David Schrock.
Patsy (Pappie) is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Clifton, loving sister-in-law, Barbara Schrock, and several first cousins. Also survived by treasured nieces and nephews, Rena and Doyle, Gary and Ann Marie, Bill and Janine, Cheryl and Hamid, Donna and David, Darlene and Tim, Frank and Cynthia, Brian and Sheree, Myra and Shawn, Karen, and Alan and Janet; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all whom she adored and doted on as long as she was able and countless others.
Patsy attended Cedar Bayou schools from Grades 1-12, graduating in 1953. Her entry into the workforce began and ended at retirement in 2007 with 42 years of dedicated employment with the U.S. Gypsum Company where she was the Secretary to the Manager and the one who prepared the payroll checks.
Everyone loved Pappie. She could remember many milestones of each and every one of us from the oldest to the youngest. If there was a rose representing every memory we have of Pappie, the sweet smell would fill the church sanctuary of her long-time church, Bayway Assembly of God where she served faithfully for so many years, playing the piano and singing God’s praises! There was nothing sweeter than hearing her sing The Lord’s Prayer at many family weddings or to hear her play and sing strictly from memory, even after losing her eyesight – no professional lessons for her! She could still do this while residing in the nursing home! There was never a time in her life that made her happier than when she could be singing, playing the piano and praising her Savior for all to witness. She will always be in our hearts as one who loved her Lord and Savior first and foremost. She was proud to be a loving wife. She loved all of us and those gone before her unconditionally! For those who loved her dearly, we will treasure our memories of her until we meet again.
Visitation will be under the care of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521, on Tuesday, June 27 beginning at 10:00 AM. Services conducted by Patsy’s nephew, Gary Schrock will follow at 11:00 AM at Navarre and burial at Cedarcrest Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be nephews Bill Schrock, Stephen Schrock, Wade Schrock, Brian Schrock, Danny Klaus and Brandon Barron. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Schrock, Mark Schrock, and Russell Lambright.
