Born September 8, 1951 in Sterling, Oklahoma to John T. and Pauline Jung Fehring, Paula loved helping people from the beginning to the end. Her career in Social Work continued into retirement as she shared knowledge and passion for serving her community with many local agencies. Paula volunteered for Love Network, San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, worked closely with Hearts and Hands of Baytown concentrating on the homeless population and served on various committees at the UWGBACC. She received the first ever Live United Award in 2018 for all her many contributions to the community.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving spouse of 20 years, Nick Jared, her son Josh Elizondo, daughters Teri Conklin, Nikki Rincon and Angie Reinecke, eight beloved grandsons, brother Ronald Fehring, sisters Linda Bennett and Connie Presley, best friends Dyann Hyland and Jeannie Herrington, nieces Andrea Caswell, Becky Swope, Brenda Hutchinson, Meredith Smith, Michelle Neal, her special great nieces Abby and Sophie Hutchinson, along with countless friends. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Chris and Terry.
Paula was happiest when spoiling her grandsons with gifts and fun getaways to Disney, Universal, Great Wolf Lodge and trips to the beach. She needed a shirt that said, “Gigi is my name, spoiling is my game!” Jared, Jacob, Dylan, Parker, Zachary, Logan, Colton and Mason truly were her greatest treasures. Travel was another passion, she along with her husband and friends got to venture off to England, Italy, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the Caribbean and Alaska; of course, extra luggage was needed to bring gifts home to everyone!
Paula loved the finer things in life, hosting beautiful parties where the crystal, silver and fine china would delight as much as her delicious cuisine truly brought her great joy.
An avid Astros fan she attended spring training twelve times and enjoyed rooting for her team! The family is requesting you wear your favorite Astros gear to the memorial.
Donations in lieu of flowers and usual remembrances is requested.
