Pete E. De Hoyos

Pete E. De Hoyos, 73, of Baytown, TX was born October 23, 1932 in Baytown and passed away Friday, July 28, 2006 in a local hospital. He was an accountant at PREFCO for many years before retiring in 2005. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Boxer and was a big sports fan.

At his request, his body was cremated. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at 1:45 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery with military rites.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calletano and Guadalupe De Hoyos; first wife, Josephine De Hoyos; sisters, Andrea De Hoyos, Aurelia De Hoyos, Ruby Tangumo, and Amelia De Hoyos; and two infant daughters. He is survived by his wife, Martha E. Bradley of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Anna De Hoyos, Mark and Donna De Hoyos, and Matthew and Rene De Hoyos, all of Baytown; daughter, Monica De Hoyos of Bakersfield, CA; stepsons, Michael Ortiz of Houston and Thomas Chavez of La Porte; stepdaughter, Cynthia Ortiz of Akron, OH; sisters, Stella Morales of Baytown, Argentina Toddhunter of Commerce, and Tavita Lopez of Baytown; brothers and sister-in-law, Ruben and Alice De Hoyos of Baytown and Andrew De Hoyos of Pasadena; and many grandchildren and one great grandson.
