Pleas Eugene Starling Sr.

Gene Starling Sr. passed away on the night of 23 November 2011 in Baytown, TX. Born in Baytown, TX July 2, 1954. Gene grew up in Saratoga, TX. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High school in 1972 and from Lee College in 1974. Following his attendance at Lee College and the University of Houston he started his career at Exxon as a computer technician. After the merger of Exxon and Mobil he began working at his most recent place of employment Well Control School. Gene was an avid sports fan who loved sports trivia and loved watching his favorite team, the Houston Texans. He was known as a kind-hearted man who was always there for the ones he cared about. He loved to play his guitar for his family and friends. He enjoyed entertaining, throwing numerous pool parties and barbques for friends and family. He loved making people laugh just as much as he loved life. His main joy in life was spending time with his two children.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents James Howard Starling and Carrie Lou DeGarmo.

He is survived by his two children Gene Starling Jr. and Ariel Starling of Baytown, TX; his sister Jan Starling of Kansas City, MO; nieces Lori Chaulk and Jennifer Grant of Kansas City, MO; nephew Janson Lanier of Kansas City, MO.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 5-7 pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX. Services will be held at Earthman Funeral Home directly following the visitation.
