

R. W. “Dub” Dilmore, 71, of Baytown, passed away at his home September 30, 2005. He was born June 9, 1934 in Smith County, Mississippi. He will be best remembered by his wonderful smile, love of baseball and NASCAR races. He spent most of his life in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Violus Dilmore and Gladys Richardson Dilmore; sister, Euna Mae Miller; and infant sister, Elizabeth.
He is survived by his wife Lenora Dilmore; daughter, Jeri Dempsay and husband Jeff of Baytown, TX; sons, Rodney Wayne Dilmore and wife Jennifer of Gainesville, GA; brothers, Dalton Dilmore and wife Maxine of Bastrop, LA, Howard Dilmore of Rayville, LA; half-sister, Betty Woods and husband Clifford; step-daughters, Nicki Mahoney and husband Terry of Baytown, TX, Pam Henson and husband Jerry of Pasadena, TX; step-sons, David Eberly of Houston, TX, Darryl Eberly of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jennifer Brady and husband Wesley of Houston, TX, Chad Dempsay and Chase Dempsay of Baytown, TX, Garrett Dilmore and Jake Dilmore of Gainesville, GA; step-grandchildren, Brian Mahoney, U.S. Army of Washington State, Cassie Garcia and husband Tiger of La Porte, TX, Jason Eberly, U.S. Army, Columbus, GA; great granddaughter, Clair Brady of Houston, TX, step-great grandchildren, Allison Mahoney of Baytown, TX, Tiger Garcia of La Porte, TX, and Samantha Carden of Pasadena, TX.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Dempsay, Chase Dempsay, Wesley Brady, Terry Mahoney, David Eberly, and Steve Vargas.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, officiated by Chaplain Elvin Fortune of San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, and Pastor Richard Rose of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
