Ralph Harold Allison

Ralph was an air-force brat who grew up on military bases all over the world and settled with his wife and family in Baytown where he became a business entrepreneur building many successful companies, most notably BIX (Baytown Industrial X-ray) BTS (Baytown Technical School) and BIX Inspection Services. He played a major role in mentoring and teaching many young men who went on to very successful careers. He was passionate about creating opportunities for others.

An avid outdoorsman and hunter, he loved wide open spaces. He and his wife Ruth retired to one of those spaces on Lake Anahuac, where he loved being on the water and watching pink sunsets every evening.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved unconditionally, gave generously and added light and laughter to every room he entered. If you knew him, he was your friend. He is dearly loved by all who knew him, adored by his family and will be greatly missed by all.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Corinne Allison of Baytown, Texas and his sister, Patsy Nonemaker of Kansas City, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Ruth Allison; brother, John Allison; uncle, Col. Gary Allison, USAF daughters, Gina Allison Calabro, Connie Hargis Daugherty, and Grace Hargis Carter; granddaughter, Mollie Carroll and two great-grandchildren, Madison Daugherty and Clayton Manning as well as numerous nieces , nephews and other family and friends.

A time to reminisce with the family is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 5p.m. to 6 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive in Baytown, Texas. With a service of remembrance to follow at 6:00p.m. All are welcome to attend and remember Ralph's life and how he touched everyone he knew.
