He was a member of Second Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling with his wife after his retirement.

Hardy and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Hardy and son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lisa Hardy, all of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Marcee and Mike Benoit of Katy; grandchildren, Joshua Hardy and wife Kacey, Jarret Hardy, Morgan Benoit, Sidney Benoit, Dustin Johnson and Casey Lespade; and great grandchildren, Aubrey Hardy and Emery Lespade.
