Rick was born January 27, 1971, to Franklin “Frank” and Tina Ford. Rick was the last child, the baby boy which completed their family. Growing up, you could always find Rick having a good time. Rick was the party everywhere he went from racing cars to hanging out with friends and family, you could guarantee he would have everyone laughing and enjoying life. As a young man Rick started his family with his precious children who are his entire heart and meaning for life. He made sure they loved Jesus and knew right from wrong. Rick always made sure they knew they were loved and cared for; however, they also knew a “flurry of uppercuts” could be handed out at any given moment. In 2001, Rick landed his lifelong job which in turn became his lifelong family. Rick went to work for Dashiell where he woke up every morning and was off to “Build America”. A job which he truly loved! He trained and mentored many young men in his time there, not just on their knowledge of their job, but their knowledge about life. If you were willing to put in the work, he was there every step of the way to make sure they were successful in life and employment. On days Rick wasn’t “Building America” you could find him on the lake, hanging out at the sandbar or at the deer lease with his closest friends/family. He loved being home, but if a good time was to be had, he was there! As much as he loved being a dad, his favorite was being a Pops! If the grandkids were coming, everything else stopped, a quick trip to the store was a must for cookies, ice cream, and always CANDY! Candy and Ranger rides were always a must! In 2024, Rick married the love of his life, Dianne Ford. Although way too short, their marriage was every bit of two coming together as one holding Christ right in the middle. Family was everything to Rick and family consisted of more than just DNA. Rick loved Jesus, family, a good time and of course, his little, but mighty, Rex.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dianne Ford; his four children Bryan Ford (Morgan), Victoria “Tori” Buys (Richard), Kara Nagelmueller (Kyle), Kelli Ford (Logan); his four step-children Tyler Mere (Summer), Abby Liggio (Alec), Trinity Mere (Luke), Kenzley Mere; his grandchildren Karter, Prestyn, Brynlee, Levi, Kash, Korbin, Hadlee, Stella and Trenton; his sisters Deborah Roudebush (Rowdy), Ruth Kilbert (Pat), Jackie Shuler (Nick), Frankie Besson; along with many nieces and nephews.
Rick was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus, his parents Frank and Tina Ford, his grandparents Gilbert and Enola Hotard and Floyd and Ada Ford, and his baby brother Billy Don Ford.
