Robert F. Bob Herndon

Robert F. ""Bob"" Herndon, 69, of Baytown was born May 14, 1947, in Hearne, TX and passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, in a local hospital. He received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education and Master's Degrees in Theology and Education Administration. Bob was a United Methodist Church Minister for 10 years and was in the Education Field for 27 years, of which the last 17 were at Robert E. Lee High School as Assistant principal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wayne Herndon and Betty Stovall Herndon and brother, Billy Wayne Herndon. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Herndon; children and their spouses, Robert Hodges, Bill and Cammie Herndon, Shannan Hodges, Jim and Cassie Herndon, and Katie and John Shackelford; grandchildren, Taylor, Cheyenne, and Chloe Hodges, Alexis and Hunter Kimball, Hannah, Caleb, Isaac, and Josiah Herndon, and Dalton, Kayleen, and John Marshall Shackelford; and great grandchildren, Peyton Young and Emma Ann Hodges.

A celebration will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church Baytown, 6227 North Main Street, Baytown, Texas 77521, wit Rev. Mark Stafford officiating.
