He was born to Robert, Sr. and Minnie Bell McCartney on November 11, 1928 in Delhi, LA. He honorably served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, L.V. Hudgins Green on August 25, 1954. He was a kind, gentle man who saw the best in everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernon Green; a sister, Virginia Humphrey; a granddaughter, Ann Tomlinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, L.V. Green; two sons, Robert A. Green, III, and Roy Peters; a grandson, Rev. William Cook, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Chris Tomlinson and Carrie Cook; a sister, Juanice Radau; as well as other family members and friends.
The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Road, Baytown, TX 77520.
