
Robert “Burl” Walters, 72, life-long resident of Baytown, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2005, after a long illness. He was born April 8, 1932. He was a tool-pusher for Reading and Bates Drilling and he was a member of the Baptist faith. He served for 2 years in the Air Force and 4 years in the Navy.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Palms Cemetery in Dayton with Rev. Kenneth Walters officiating.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Paul Walters, and granddaughter, Teri Jayne Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Walters; children, Robert Burl Walters Jr., Laird Ray Walters, Jeffrey Lynn Walters, Sandra Lee Bransford; grandchildren, Laird Walters Jr., Melissa Cherry, Holly Raspberry, Jessica Smith, Crystal Seratte; great grandchildren, Toni Gelske, Kaela Ortiz, Derrick Cherry, and Jade Cherry; brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth & Betty Walters; sister, Betty Lou Carter.
