Ruby Aleene Murphy

Ruby Aleene Murphy, 80, of Baytown, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, June 20, 2006. She was born August 30, 1925 in Quinlan, TX. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church. With loving care, she spent most of her time taking care of her family and she loved to cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Gertie Williams; brothers, J.T. Williams, and Leon Williams.

She is survived by husband of 62 years, Fred Murphy; 5 daughters, Sandra Moody, Donna Hillard and husband Rick, Marleen Marlow, Darlene Shaw and husband John, and Joyce Fannin; sisters, Frances Weatherly, Dorothy Dryer; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Mark Broussard. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Tims, Steven Fox, Daniel Fox, Scott Shaw, Michael Shaw, and Reed Hillard. Honorary pallbearers are John O’Brien, Tim Hayes, and Steve Cox.
