

Sandra Dee Bent, age 58, of Baytown, Texas departed this world on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Sandra, also known as Sandee to those who loved her was born in Kingston, Jamaica on November 17, 1964. She was the first of 5 children born to Roy and Pamela Bent. She spent most of her childhood in Jamaica and in St. Croix, USVI before coming to Texas in her teen years. Sandra graduated from Robert E. Lee High School - Baytown in the class of 1983, where she participated in the ROTC program and later the nursing program. Sandra went on to further her career in nursing over the next 15 years before migrating to the chemical refineries where she worked as a process operator. After medically semi-retiring, she went back into the role of care giver providing home health care.
Sandra had a tremendous love for movies and was the wikipedia of movies before it was even a thought. She also enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, and was an avid reader. She was known for her sense of humor, kind heart, and knowledge of random facts.
Sandra had 2 children, Lettricia 'Trish' Bent, and Christopher Thomas, Jr. She also had a stepdaughter, Danetta Cooper, and was a loving Yaya to Danetta's son Malachi, whom she loved dearly.
Sandra is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Pamela Bent; maternal grandparents, Jane and Ernest Dacres; paternal grandparents, Lettricia and James Bent; several maternal and paternal aunts and uncles, her niece, Patricia Lewis and her grandpuppy, Dobber.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her father, Roy T. Bent, Sr; her children, Trish Bent (Billy Green, Jr), and Christopher Thomas, Jr (Allison Lyons); Danetta Cooper (Morris); Malachi Randolph; siblings, Louane Bent, Lorraine Bent, Roy Bent, Jr (Medina), and Tracy Russell (Edward); nieces, Jessica Bent, Cassandra Lewis, and Adalynn Russell; nephews, Troy Panteau (Katalina), Nicholas Bent, and Canaan Russell; great-nephews, Davion Bent and Apollo Panteau; great-nieces, Ja'Nya Brown and Remi Panteau; and childhood best friend, Jacqueline Forbes. Also near and dear to her heart and of very close relation is the Forbes family, Tony Brown, and Lutricia Harris, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. She will be missed dearly.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Earthman Memory Gardens, located at 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
