Tahiat Rizkallah, 82, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Baytown. She was born April 12, 1927 in Cairo, Egypt, had lived in Baytown since 1980, enjoyed needlepoint and was a proud mother that kept her family together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rizkallah; sons, Dr. Atef Rizkallah and Sameh Rizkallah and a brother, Mamdouh Ghobrial.
Survivors include her daughter, Dallal Abdelsayed and her husband Magdy; brothers, Shafik Ghobrial and his wife Judith and Maged Ghobrial and his wife Amani; daughter-in-laws, Nora Rizkallah and Sari Rizkallah; grandchildren, William and Amy Rizkallah, Sara and Sylvia Rizkallah and Christine, John and Maggie Abdelsayed and nieces and nephews, Joseph Ghobrial, Peter Ghobrial and his wife Dae Eun and Mary and Mina Ghobrial.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2009 at St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church in Bellaire with Father Bishoy, Father Athanasius and Father Younan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home.
