

Thomas David Dornak, 41, of Pearland, formerly Crosby, was born April 29, 1967 in El Campo and passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 in Travis County. He was a 1985 graduate of Crosby High School, was a member of the Catholic Faith and was a safety diver at the NASA Neutral Buoyancy Lab, helping to train astronauts for their missions. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and free diving. He was very physically active and enjoyed running marathons, canoeing and bicycling.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Leona Burton and Richard and Mary Dornak and is survived by his parents, Gene and Patsy Dornak of Point Blank, formerly Crosby; brothers and sister-in-law, Jeff Dornak of Mont Belvieu and Craig and Mollie Dornak of Flint; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Kreg McCall of Mont Belvieu; devoted companion, Jeri Williams of Pearland; nieces and nephews, Matthew and Daylan Dornak, Haley and Gabbi Dornak and Rhett and Kade McCall; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kristopher McCall, Brent Carlisle, Ray Cotton, Greg Sims, Carl Kuehnel, B. J. Mundine, Steve Saltzman and Scott Wright.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crosby with Rev. Clint Ressler and Rev. Terry Brinkman officiating. Entombment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Memorial Park in El Campo.
