Vernon Harold Simpson

Vernon worked hard and had a career in the oilfield for Clay-John.

He was a member of the Giddings and Baytown Lions Club. As well he enjoyed all types of sports and talking to strangers. He loved his Lord and rarely missed worship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Ellen Simpson, his first wife, Shirley Parker Simpson and second wife, Sharon Thorton Simpson.

He is survived by his wife, Carla, son, Michael Carl Simpson, grandsons, Jason Simpson of Des Moines, Iowa; Kyle Simpson, of Austin, Texas; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Marion and wife, Glenda of Abilene, Texas; Paul and wife, Adele of Claremore, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, brother-in-law, Bobby Crider of Crane, Texas; and sister-in-law, Robin and husband Robert Adams of Bryan, Texas. Also, stepchildren, Beau Alexander, Courtney Gardner, and Caryn LeGros, and their children. Also, Charlene Farrack, a special friend of the family.

A celebration of life for Vernon will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521.
