Veronica Ann Hoskins

Veronica “Ronnie” Ann Hare Hoskins (1951-2024) age 72 of Baytown, Texas went to her eternal home peacefully surrounded by her family on March 6, 2024. She was born on September 12, 1951 in Syracuse, New York to Douglas and Jean Hare. She was a loving mother and sister to six siblings.

Veronica was raised in Louisiana and moved to Texas at the age of 13. She graduated from Lee High School in 1969. She then went to work in healthcare as a radiology technician. She was married in 1982, and welcomed her son in 1985. After the birth of her son, she became a stay-at-home mom. She was a fiercely devoted and loving mother. Her devotion to her son was unwavering. She loved spending time at home where she enjoyed watching Big Brother, and playing online word games.

Faced with a cancer diagnosis, Veronica bravely endured surgeries and cancer treatments. She faced illness head-on, never losing hope or her positive spirit. Her powerful love for her son gave her the strength to continue her fight. Her bravery was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Veronica was preceded in death by her father Douglas Gerard Hare and her mother Jean Elizabeth Hare. She is survived by her son Jeremy Hoskins and her siblings; Victoria Clayton, Virginia Lesher (Melvin), Valeria Van Horn (Ralph), Daniel Hare (Patty), Vanessa Findlay (Rob), and Venitta Gleason (William). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of special friends.

Veronica will be carried to her final resting place by her beloved nephews: Chris Clayton, Seth Lesher, Billy Gleason, Jr., Cody Gleason, Troy Breaux-Hare, and Ethan Real.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, with a rosary to be recited at 6 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel. Committal service will be 10 am, Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sterling-White Cemetery (at Pavilion), 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562.
