-The Broken Chain-
Little did we know that morning
that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
-Psalm 34:18

I love this lady. She was like a second mom to me. Sorry Pam and I would always scare you with our critters.  The snake in the bowl in Pam's bed was the best. Good thing you loved us are we would have really gotten it  that day.   Rest in Peace sweet lady. You will be missed.  Prayers for yall. 

The Footprints Prayer

One night I had a dream…
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of my life flashed before us, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life, There was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the
most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.

The Lord replied, “My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you. 



Down by the River
My Sister Alma how lucky I was to have you in this journey of life!
 I have so many wonderful memories I would not be able to list them all!
I know the miles we traveled & the conversation’s we would share will stay a lifetime 
One in particular was how we enjoyed going down to the river- listening & watching birds in the trees- turtles climbing on logs to sunbathe -boats rushing by -children splashing in the water the sounds of laughter all around including us just enjoying each other’s company  You were always a big part of my life through all the up’s & downs it was always good to know we had each other& could always hop in the car & go down to the river
You will be missed and I will love you always


Never judge a book by its cover!
That’s what I think about when I think of Aunt Alma
So fragile & small in frame you thought she would break if you hugged her to tight.
But she was so determined, strong minded independent she chose to live life her own way! 
As fragile as you could see she was she never complained or said a bad thought or word of anyone we only saw kindness & concern for others! We love you & will miss you dearly



We only wished we had that one more day to say I Love You!
We had no idea that God was going to call your name because you seemed no different than the last time we spoke or saw you. We will always miss you when we have a Family event Birthday’s Christmas Easter etc. Even the time’s we just wanted to sit & chat with each other on the porch.
Aunt Alma was a lady who never had to be the center of attention but when you gave it to her even in a small way you could see in her eyes & hear in her voice the happiness you had brought to her.
Our family chain is broken, it won’t be the same but as God calls us one by one our family chain will be linked together again! We will miss the laughter in your voice and the smile you never lost We love you dearly always
