Mr. Bruce E. Garig

Bruce was born on June 8, 1937 in to Gus and Maggie Garig. His father was a Baptist Minister and his mom was involved with many Church activities. He worked until retirement at Houston Chemical & PD Glycol in Beaumont, Texas.

Bruce enjoyed visiting his brother at Lake Livingston and his sister on the River in Utopia, Texas.

He enjoyed playing a game of golf, pool, dominoes, and bowling. As well as getting to teach his many family members the “rules” of each game. Dominoes have always been the staple go to game to play at gatherings. His favorite pastime was getting to participate in Bowling Tournaments all over the United States.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Gus Garig; mother, Maggie Matthews; brother, Glenn Austin Garig; sister, Gwen Garig Watkins; and his beloved daughter, Cyndi Lee Garig.

He is survived by his children James Edgar Garig, Russell Austin Garig, Tanya Ann Garig, and Michael Bruce Garig. Former spouses and life long friends Wanda Sue Brannon and Joyce Risenhoover.

Six grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
