Cynthia Jane Wilkinson

Cynthia Jane "Cindy" Wilkinson, 80, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Born on November 21, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Una Orlopp.

A resident of Beaumont for 55 years, Cindy devoted over three decades of her life to teaching elementary school, shaping young minds with quiet strength, patience, and compassion. Known for her softspoken nature, kind heart, and gentle spirit, she left a lasting impact on her students and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Outside the classroom, Cindy found great joy in exploring the world. She was an avid traveler, with a particular fondness for Africa, where she took several unforgettable safari trips. These adventures reflected her lifelong love for animals—something that shone through in the way she cared for her beloved pets, Buster and Bentley, who were true companions and sources of comfort. She also enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Una Orlopp. Cindy is survived by her children, Mark Wilkinson and his wife Nicole, and Tyler Tubbs and her husband Jeremy; her grandchildren, Megan Wilkinson and Blake Tubbs; her brothers, Keith Orlopp and wife Betty, Craig Orlopp and wife Sharon; and numerous other family members and close friends.

Cindy’s warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed.
