Deborah "Debbie" Sue Oliver, 68, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. Born on October 25, 1956, in Beaumont to the late Charlie Henry Sr. and Wilmoth (Ross) Henry, Debbie remained rooted in the community she loved throughout her life.
Debbie enjoyed watching horror films and spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called her "MawMaw Doobie." She adored her family deeply, sharing a special bond not only with her grandchildren, but also with her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and cherished friend, Debbie was known for her warmth, her sense of humor, and her unwavering love for those close to her. Her kindness and strong spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert "Bobby" Ray Henry; and her sister, Linda Guidry.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Jay Oliver; her daughters, Sarah Kennedy and husband Michael, and Shannah Stacey and husband David; and her treasured grandchildren, Phoebe Patton, Kemper Patton, Alana Kennedy, Drayton Scherry, and Madisyn Kennedy. She also leaves behind her brothers, Walter Henry, Mikel Henry, and Charlie Henry Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Prine, Carole Davidson, Wanda Henry Padgett and husband Paul Jr., Donna Holasek and husband Fred, and Pamela Broussard and husband Terrell. Debbie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Debbie’s memory to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Debbie will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she gave will continue to live on in all who were fortunate to know her.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Kennedy, Walter Henry, Rusty Oliver, Terrell Broussard, Willie Chesney, Donald Price, Junior Wiley, and Paul Padgett III.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mikel Henry, Charlie Henry Jr., Drayton Scherry, Fred Holasek, and Paul Padgett.
