Genelle Costlow Wright, 90, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on September 12, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Genelle was born August 21, 1921, in Bardwell, Texas to Julian and Mable Costlow and has lived in Beaumont since 1961. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1963 and was a Veteran of WW II serving in the Army in which she received the, WW II Victory Medal, Women’s Army Corps Service Medal and Honorable Service Lapel Button.
Genelle is survived by her son, Timothy R. Wright and wife Peggie Hougham; daughter, Dana E. Wright and husband Robert Herbert; brother, Jerry Costlow; sister, Shirley Costlow; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Duke Wright and brother, Rupert Costlow.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at
9 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Kelm officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
