George Alan Mauer

George Alan Mauer, 78, of Village Mills, died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Beaumont, he was a longtime resident of Village Mills, a graduate of Lamar University with a bachelor's degree in engineering, and a retired electrical engineer after more than 30 years of faithful service with Matrix Engineering. George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather as a member and Grand Master of Tolerance Lodge #1165.

A celebration of George's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, followed by interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the funeral home.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Conrad Jr. and Helon Mauer, brothers William Mauer, John Mauer and James Mauer. George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sandra Mauer, daughters, Heather Alton (Dean) and Amy Mauer-Morton (Micah), brother, Robert C. Mauer (Paulette), and his grandchildren, Brock Soto, Keely Normand, Colin Alton, Miley Morton, and Marcus Morton.
