Funeral Services for James "Pop" Doyle Park Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gateway Church in Kountze with Pastor Chad West officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. James was born December 6, 1952 in Beaumont, Texas to James and Joyce Park.
Pop was a Coach and Board Member of Hardin County Youth Soccer Club, past President and Board Member of Spindletop Youth Soccer Association, Treasurer and Board Member of Southeast Texas Soccer and involved with American Poultry Association.
Survivors include: His Loving Wife Judy Park of Kountze; Son, James Doyle Park III and his wife Elizabeth of Kountze; Daughter, Jessica Thatcher and her husband Mickey of Kountze; Sisters, Sandra Taggart and her husband David of Kountze, Carolyn LeGros and her husband Jeffrey of Kountze; Grandchildren, Sarah Thatcher, Jillian Sawyer, Sophia Thatcher and Osiris Park.
