Janie V. Reid

Janie V. Reid went to meet her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born on November 5, 1956 to Ray and Ruby Johnson of Nederland, TX. She was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur, TX.

Janie grew up and attended school in Nederland, TX. On August 20, 2005 she married her sweetheart Wayne Reid.

Janie liked to fish, go crabbing, play cards and play Bingo. She also liked to sew on occasion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruby Johnson and her brother, Walter Johnson.

She is survived by her 2 brothers, Nelson Johnson and his wife Debbie of Nederland, Wayne Johnson and his wife Janaya of Bryan, TX., one sister Dr. June Ledesma and her husband Ricky of Euless, TX., sister-in-law, Kitty Johnson of Nederland, three daughters, Charlena Monteaux and her husband Chad, Jennifer Reid of Kountze, TX., and Carmen Haskins of Kingsport, TN., numerous nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the graveside on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Wayne wishes to thank everyone for their prayers in this time of need.

Janie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
