Jesse Tuthill Luce, 91, of Beaumont, Texas. Our heavenly Father granted his wish to join his life long partner and wife of 60 years, Betty, on July 1, 2020 at Buckner Calder Woods Retirement Community.
Dad was born on June 4, 1929 in Riverhead New York, the son of Elbert and Harriet Luce.
He enlisted into the Airforce in December of 1950 and served almost four years and then Honorably Discharged in September of 1954. During his time in the Airforce he was stationed at Randolph Airforce Base San Antonio, Texas. He met Betty Lee Busch. They were married and enjoyed a wonderful life together. He attended Texas A&M University College Station (57’) and earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He was the proudest “Aggie” that the University ever graduated. He was an Engineer, Manager, Supervisor and Director for Mobile Chemical. During the decades he worked there he earned the love and respect from all that knew him and many of those relationships became life long friends that he still kept in contact. After he retired Mom and Dad were able to enjoy another grand adventure together, they traveled the world, visiting 35 different countries experiencing many cultures and wonders of the world. He enjoyed his time volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital, working at the Information Counter in the lobby. Known as GrandPa, Gpa and PaPa, He loved spending time with his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We will always love and miss you Dad, PaPa, Grandpa and Gpa. We know that you are finally complete again with Mom in Heaven. Rest in Peace.
