

A Celebration of Life for Hugh Jim "Jimbo" Stevens, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Rock'N Dollar Ranch, 11134 Burge Road, Lumberton, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Seamans Cemetery in Chester, Texas at 1:30 p.m. Friends and family are invited to Enon Baptist Church following the graveside service. The family will receive friends at Rock'n Dollar Ranch on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Jimbo was born on March 23, 1951 in Beaumont and passed away on April 9, 2015 in Beaumont.
He was a graduate of French High Class of 1969 "See You At The Next Reunion", his favorite memories were of his high school years cruising 11th Street and hanging out at the Pig Stands. Jimbo had a love for American muscle cars and loud music. His love of music lead him to become part of Brother Dave's and Lovely Lynn's radio program as Producer Jim at 104.5 and later as a D.J. for Freedom 1300 AM. He enjoyed spending time at the Rock'n $ Ranch and there's not a structure there that he did not leave a mark on. He worked at Coca Cola in Beaumont since 1978.
Survivors include his mother, Imogene Stevens of Chester; wife, Dolly Stevens of Lumberton; son, Sean Stevens of Lumberton; daughter, Stephanie "Possum" Plake & husband Patrick of Lumberton; brothers, David Stevens of Baton Rouge, Mark Stevens of Chester; granddaughter, Ashley "Doodle Bug" Stevens.
