John was born September 12th, 1955 to John David and Mabel Lee Darden in Kirbyville. He graduated from Kirbyville High School in 1974 and joined the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 9 years. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, three daughters, Jessica Westfall, Abigail (Brett) Chenoweth, and Heather (Justin) Dove, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Omega (Norman) Wied, and brothers David A. Darden, Thomas O. Darden (Lisa), and Henry C. Darden (Kim), as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial event will be set at a later date.
