Following his military service, Johnny built a long and respected career as a lineman with Southwestern Bell, where he worked for 40 years. Known as one of the very best at his craft, Johnny took pride in his work and often traveled to assist communities during disasters, helping restore communication and support those in need. He never met a stranger and was known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. One of his closest friendships was with Wayne Peveto, a longtime coworker and dear friend who remained in touch with Johnny throughout the years. Johnny was also blessed to have a dear friend in Buddy Duplantis who was with him all the way through his good and tough times.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice Care Team who provided compassionate care during Johnny’s short time at home, as well as Joyce Mannon and Jissette Castro and family for the loving home care they provided during his final days and hours.
