

She was born on January 19, 1941, in North Platte, Nebraska, to the late Roy Baker and Mildred Gayle (Fuller) Baker.
Joyce dedicated much of her life to caring for and shaping the lives of children. She worked as a teacher and as a daycare director, roles in which she touched countless families with her patience, guidance, and genuine love for every child entrusted to her care. In addition to her career, she was a devoted homemaker who created a warm and loving home for her family. She took exceptional care of her sons and their spouses, their children, and their children's children. She was a strong woman who loved and cared through generations.
In 1961, Joyce married the love of her life, Gilbert "Gil" Brown. Together they shared over 63 wonderful years of love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion and partnership.
Joyce was member of Christian Fellowship Church. She was known for her kind heart, steady faith, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Gilbert “Gil” Brown; and her son, Scott Regan Brown. She is survived by her son, Brian, and his husband, David; sister, Jeanie; her daughter-in-law, Susie; her granddaughter, Kassi; and her grandson, Zachary, and his wife, Paige.
She leaves behind a loving family, including eight great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
