Margaret A. Howard, age 91, of Beaumont, TX passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Beaumont. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Bevil Oaks Community Center on Sweetgum Dr.
Margaret was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 10, 1924 to the late Oscar Charles Sweetser and Mary Alice Callaghan Sweetser. She had been a resident of Beaumont since 1942 and was retired from the old Village State Bank as the vice-president of the note department. Margaret enjoyed reading, gardening and had a love for traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Howard, Sr. and a grandson, Alan Howard.
She is survived by her three sons; Russell Howard, Jr. and his wife Joan of Bevil Oaks, TX, Jack Howard and his wife Lee of Austin, TX and Mark Howard of Dallas, TX. One brother, Claude Sweetser and his wife Mary and a favorite niece, Sue Hammac all of Fairhope, AL. Sixgrandchildren; Scott Howard and his wife Sally, Shelley Jordan and her husband Eric, Drew Howard and his wife Xan, Nathan Howard, Julia Howard and Amy Howard. As well as four great grandchildren; Cassidy Jordan, Colby Jordan, Carly Jordan and Pippin Howard.
