

Myrtle Perrio, a woman that was an angel to all, passed away on February 28, 2024. She was born on December 26, 1928 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Thomas W. Ferguson and Thelma M. Barber.
Myrtle had a love for all people. If you met her once, she considered you family from the very start. Myrtle grew up in Alexandria LA. She was a hard worker, helping to provide for her household as a young girl because her mother had seizures and she took care of her. (She was a care giver to other family members throughout her life as well) She worked her whole life and retired at Beaumont Neurological Center in Beaumont TX.
Myrtle loved crabbing and fishing; she was a fantastic cook. Most recently in her life she loved coloring, it was her passion. She was the most giving of souls. She loved to give whatever she could to anyone she knew. She was a huge tipper.
Myrtle was very faithful to the lord. She believed in praying over everyone and everything in her life.
In the words of Myrtle “God has always been very good to me”.
She was survived by her grandchildren, Chynna Withrow and husband Tony Withrow, Amie Hoke and husband Bobby Hoke and great grandchildren Brittany Morse, Dillon Horton and wife Chloe Horton, Matthew Hoke and girlfriend Allison, and Sheldon Withrow. She had multiple great-great grandchildren and was known as Granny to the world.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph D. Perrio, parents, Thomas W. Ferguson and Thelma M. Barber, daughters Brenda Perrio and Carolyn Chorn, and her infant brother.
Ms. Perrio's Services will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2 pm with a visitation to start at 1pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Her interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following her service.
