Nelda Clairene Sarver, 87, of Vidor, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she has lived in Vidor since 1973, and was a retired hairdresser. Nelda was a longtime and devoted member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor.
Nelda enjoyed cooking, sewing, feeding her birds, gardening, tending to her potted plants, and especially loved taking care of, and loving on her family.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor.
Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen Best, and her son Mitchell Sarver.
Nelda is survived by her loving husband Herman Murel Sarver of Vidor, son Mark Sarver and his wife Mollie of Mauriceville, sister Sylvia Shockley of Baytown, five grandchildren, Matthew Sarver, Melissa Prevost, Micha Sarver, Shaylee Kresser, Canaan Sarver, and Steeley Jones, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
