Patricia "Trish" Darlene Wunderlich (nee Parrett) was born April 1, 1955 in Steeleville, Missouri to Eric "Buck" and Bonnie Parrett. She was the first of five children; one preceded her in death. She died peacefully on August 29, 2025 at home.
Trish moved with her parents to Texas in 1958. She was a graduate of Vidor High School, class of 1973. She attended Lamar University until 1975, when she transferred to the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing in Houston. Trish graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 1977.
Trish started her nursing career in Houston at Hermann Hospital. She was a Certified Nurse of the Operating Room, 1982-1986 & 1997-2002. She became a Pediatric Nurse in 2003. Trish worked at several hospitals in the Houston area over her career, most notably Shriners Hospital for Children from 1993-2012 where she retired. Trish also taught in the nursing program at Lone Star College-Cy Fair Campus from 2005-2006. She participated in numerous professional nursing organizations over the years and was also an instructor of CPR for the American Heart Association from 1987-2017.
Trish gave birth, as a single mother, to her daughter Brandy Michelle Robichau in 1978. In October 1983 she met Larry Wunderlich and they married in April 1984. This union blessed Trish with her step-daughter Jennifer Wunderlich.
Trish was active in church life throughout her life. While at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1984-2011 she participated in several committees, held different offices, and sang in the church choir. After early retirement in 2012, Trish joined Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery, TX and volunteered with the Pregnancy Assistance Center in Conroe and Spring. After moving back to Vidor in 2020 she joined the Church of the Nazarene in Orange, where she answered the call to ministry and began the ordination process. She completed many courses, and made many good friends, but joined the Lord in heaven before becoming a pastor. Trish felt compelled to share God's love with all she came into contact with because she experienced God's grace daily and truly knew peace.
In addition to her spiritual life, Trish was interested in genealogy and history. She received her Daughter of the American Revolution membership in 2014. Her service included chairing the Little Patriot Program and holding the office of Librarian for her chapter in 2016.
Leaving to cherish her sweet memory are her daughters Brandy and Jenny, and their spouses Christian and Jeff, her ex-husband Larry, her grandkids Helena and Flynn, her siblings Marvin, Mike, Judy, and sister-in-law Diane, her nieces and nephew Caleena, Nicole, Nathan and their spouses and children.
