Rosa M Sturrock

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rosa Myrle Sturrock will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. John Neesley officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 and last until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosa was born April 22, 1925 in Mount Vernon, Texas to Ernest Eckward Tucker and Etta Bell Tucker and passed away surrounded by her loving family, December 14, 2016 in Katy, Texas. Rosa married the love of her life whom precedes her in death, Thomas Leo Sturrock on August 22, 1946. Together they shared 46 wonderful years and have been reunited once again in Heaven. Thomas and Myrle resided in the Beaumont/Lumberton area for the 46 years of their marriage, where she was a former member of North End Baptist Church of Beaumont and currently a dedicated member of Lazybrook Baptist Church of Houston. Myrle left Lumberton, Texas in July 2012 to live with her son and daughter-in-law (Charles and Cynthia Sturrock) in Katy, Texas. Myrle is preceded in death by her parents, Etta Bell and Ernest Eckward Tucker; children, Rosaline Sturrock and Chester Sturrock; and sisters, Leaha Lamonoco and Loreen Arthur. Left behind to treasure her loving memory are her children, Charles E. Sturrock and wife Cindy and James Sturrock and wife Kim; grandchildren, Christopher Sturrock and wife Kimberlee, Jonathon Sturrock and wife Kelly, Cady Presswood and husband Blake and Michael Sturrock; great grandchildren, Kiptyn and Axton Sturrock, Brayden Presswood and Joseph Sturrock; precious friends, Barbara Taleck, Darrel Hutchinson, Dennis and Louann Letley and numerous other relatives, friends and her special pets also survive.
