

She endured a harsh childhood of abuse at the hands of her mother and stepfather. She found comfort and safety in the arms of her grandparents Papa Joe Moreno and wife Elodia, speaking fondly of them throughout her life.
A devoted life long member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Rosie found joy in her faith and service to Jesus Christ. A woman of many talents, an avid reader who could add insight, knowledge and fact to a variety of subjects, a great seamstress, skilled floral designer, baker, Rosie made the best tamales and tortillas north or south of the equator. A woman of wisdom, strength, confidence and a great faith that carried her from the first to the very last breaths of this life to the next.
Rose will be fondly remembered as an inspiration that life hardships can be overcome with faith and love.
She was preceded in death by husband George H. Canizales, her son Paul Joseph Canizales, sister, Patsy Castillo, and son-in-law, Larry Lee Harris.
Left to cherish her memory, son George Canizales, Jr and wife Debra of Austin, daughter Cheryl Lynn Harris of Wilcox, Az. Granddaughter Jennifer Nicole Canizales, husband, Oni Aranda, Lisa, husband Paul Jauregui, Brooklyn, Kate Khole, Amanda , Sophia, Michele, Ben, Hannah, Samantha, Delilah, Stacie, Kristie, along with many other grandchildren, extended family members, and friends. Great granddaughter Crystal Marie Canizales, Rosie’s cherished niece Christina Balouch and husband Tony.
