Funeral services for Willis Gary Ellison will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Willis was born August 13, 1933 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to Sam and Julia Ellison and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family December 3, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas. Willis served our country in the United States Army and will be remembered by his family for his abundant personality and how he always loved to make everyone around him laugh. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Calahan and by his granddaughter, Kelly Delarosa and by his brother, Carlton Ellison. Willis is survived by his son, Mikel Willis Ellison and wife Jully of Tampa, FL; daughter, Lisa Gay Wade and husband Steven of Tampa, FL; step-son, Kevin Muehlenbein and wife Reine of Winnie, TX; brothers, Fondon Ellison and Chalmas Ellison; sister, Martha Layton; sister-in-law, Vernele Ellison; grandchildren, Dallas Delarosa, Laci Mitchell and husband Justin, Adam Wade and wife Ashlee and Melissa Wade; great grandchildren, Starrlynn Torres, Journey Toress, Kellyn Mitchell, Jaxon Mitchell, Israel Torres, Jr. and Layla Wade.
