Dale Ross Jersey

Dale Ross Jersey was born August 5, 1932 to John L. Jersey and Ella Valentine Jersey in Portland, Oregon. Dale is survived by his son, John L. Jersey, II, grandson, Jessie James Jersey, granddaughter, Jessica Doll Jersey-Kitchen and great-grandsons, Jessie James Jersey, Jr., and Tristin Takota Jersey. Dale was preceded in death by wife, Wylodine Doll Jersey and son, Dale Ross Jersey, Jr.

Dale served in the US Navy as an air flight engineer during the Korean War. Most of his career was spent moving the earth and doing heavy civil demolition, as owner and senior operations manager for John L. Jersey &Son, Inc., until 1986.

Dale was a proud member of the following organizations: Past Master of the Masonic Order Lodge 101, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Royal Arch Masons, Cryptic Masons, Al Kader Temple, Gul Reazee Grotto, Knights Templar, Shriners, Kiwanis Club, Eagles, Elks, Oregon Military Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Navy League.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Young’s Funeral Home, 11831 SW Pacific Hwy., Tigard, OR. Services for Dale will be held August 10, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Young’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Shriner Children’s Hospital.
