Deborah Ann Mohr-Parker

Debbie was born Feb. 8, 1965, in Hillsboro. She is remembered in our hearts as a vivacious woman full of laughter and life. She was a homemaker and a deeply devoted mother to McKenna, Jack, and Nick.

A lover of animals both large and small, Debbie traveled with a furry entourage; at least once with three dogs, two cats, three hermit crabs, and three bunnies. Following a childhood love of horses, Debbie found her personal passion becoming an accomplished rider late in her life. As with everything she did, whether being the shopper par excellence, or playing a mean game of Pictionary, she did it with passion, joy, and flair.

Above all, Debbie loved her children. She volunteered at their schools and provided a warm and loving home. She was always there, encouraging them in the art they all excel in; slaving with them through homework; patching scraped knees; and gently explaining life's challenges, knowing just the words that her three darlings could hear and understand. She always listened first and then offered everything she had to make it better.

Debbie had the rare gift to both recognize and accept flaws within herself and others. She was the kind of friend who would call you on your shortcomings, then invite you to dinner. She had style, grace, and beauty. We will always remember her generosity, her loving spirit, and her barbed wit followed by her sparkling smile and wonderful laughter.

Debbie is survived by her children, McKenna, Jack, and Nick; their father, Jeffery Parker; her parents, Greg Mohr and Carol Johnson; stepmother, Carol Mohr; stepfather, Dave Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Wendy “Becky” Mohr; brother, Matt; sister, Rachel; nieces, Kennedy and Devin; nephews, Michael, Taylor, Chris, and Kyle; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in Beaverton Foursquare Church, 13565 S.W. Walker Road, Beaverton, OR 97005.
