Dorothy LaPay Andreasen

Dorothy was born February 22, 1924 in Seaside, OR to George and Theresa (Horsney) LaPay. She graduated from high school in Seaside, and in 1947 married Raymond Andreasen. They lived in Portland and Dorothy worked as a bank teller and manager with US Bank for 32 years. Dorothy and Raymond traveled in their motor home across the US, and enjoyed fishing and boating at Prineville Reservoir. She also enjoyed puzzles and, especially, going to garage sales.

Raymond passed away in 1994, and Dorothy was also preceded in death by a brother, John LaPay, and sister Mary Roshak.

She will be missed by her children, Jens Andreasen and wife Kim of Battle Ground, WA and Wes Andreasen and wife Rachel of Donald, OR;

grandchildren Jesse Andreasen, Alicia Andreasen, Travis Andreasen, and Kachina Andreasen;

great-grandchildren Shylo Andreasen, Bentley Gravelle, Serinity Andreasen, Waylon Jens Andreasen, Sebastian Meyers, Nova Lee Meyers, and Ryan Andreasen, and one great-grandchild on the way;

and by a sister, Ann Dunn.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 11 AM at Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel, 4675 SW Watson Ave in Beaverton. In lieu of flowers, donations to an Alzheimer’s charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
