Elma Catedrilla Alviar

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved mother, Elma Catedrilla Alviar. Mom devoted her entire life to loving and providing for her family. She was the matriarch that held our family together through the tough times. And made sure we celebrated together the good times.

We are touched by all of you who have sent messages offering your support and love. She held her community close to her heart and it means a lot to know that our mom held a special place in yours as well.

Here are the events leading up to laying her to rest at Mt Calvary;

Rosaries scheduled:

January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24*, 25, 26, 27, 28

Time : 7:00 pm

Thursday, February 5th 2026

Time: 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Light refreshments provided.

Funeral Service:

Friday, February 6th, 2026

Location: St. Pius X Church; 1280 NW Saltzman Rd, Portland, OR 97229

10:30 am Rosary will be held in the Church Hall

11:00 am Mass

12:30 pm Procession to burial Mt. Calvary for Burial Service (optional)

Following the burial, there will be a celebration of life for Elma at St. Pius Community Center. 1:00 – 4:30

We know how much our mom meant to the community and each of you individually and will be greatly missed.
