

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail C. Germann. Gail passed away at her home in Portland, Oregon on December 1, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born on Dec 11, 1942 to Corinne (Price) & William Germann in Seattle, WA. The family set roots in Ballard, WA. In 1961, Gail proudly graduated from Ballard High School and went on to attend Washington State University. In 1964, she made a life changing move to Portland, Oregon where she spent the remainder of her life. Gail’s career spanned various companies. She worked as a bartender at Multnomah Falls (early years), Executive Assistant at Pope & Talbot, Frieghtliner and later in life gift sales and sold alarm systems for ADT. She met lifelong friends while working at all of these various companies. Gail thrived on social activities with her enormous following of dear friends. She loved parties and was a great bartender! There wasn’t a cocktail she couldn’t make. Gail’s infectious laugh was known to fill the room with joy. She was a master cook and baker. She loved providing directions when others were cooking. She loved to travel and see new places. There were yearly trips to the Oregon Coast, the Mountains, Central Oregon and many more. Gail loved to drive so was usually the appointed driver! She cherished spending time with her friends. Gail enjoyed the finer things in life. She only bought quality furniture and clothes. She was known for bright colors and interesting jewelry. She always looked impeccable! She adored dogs of all types including Bill’s many German Shepherds over the years. Gail cherished Sadie (Bill & Linda’s dog) and Timber and Hamilton (Erin & Tommy’s dogs). They loved their Auntie Gail. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. She leaves behind her brothers, Bill (Linda), Tony (Jan), nephew Taylor, niece Erin (Tommy), great nieces Hadley & Harper and great nephew Luke. Gail cherished her family and enormous following of amazing friends. She will always be remembered as a loyal and caring friend to all. Rest in Peace Gail. A life well lived. A celebration of life will tentatively be held in April, 2024. Date to follow.
